My name is Claire Aitken and I am the creator of Spotlight Makeup. With over 14 years experience in the makeup industry I absolutely love my job. My career started by training at Scotland’s leading school for makeup artistry. It was here that I gained the skills which allowed me to become a leading international makeup artist. I have worked across the UK, UAE and Asia within various fields within fashion and media . I am experienced in working on low budget short films to media campaigns as well as some of the worlds top brands and Hollywood feature films and award shows. My company Spotlight also has the pleasure of being represented by one of Scotland’s leading agencies, Colours. Adding to this, I love doing wedding makeup as well as makeup for other big events.

My experience has led me to work on projects including Hollywood feature films Star Trek Beyond & Mission Impossible 4.
I also worked as part of a team on the Abu Dhabi & Dubai film festivals and productions such as Britain’s next top model. My company Spotlight has also led the hair & makeup teams for events including, The Laureus sports awards and the MTV video music awards. Spotlight makeup has also had work published in top publications such as Vogue Italia and Hello!
With an impressive client list including ROX diamonds, Slaters Menswear, Nivea, TRTL, Toni & Guy, Lacoste, Gillette and Emirates to name a few.
I have also worked with celebrity clients including Roger Federer, Judy & Jamie Murray, Kimberley Stewart, Natalie Dormer, Barbara Rafferty, Karen Dunbar and Carol Smilie. You can be assured that you will receive a highly professional service.

The Spotlight team will pamper you at our beautiful Spotlight studio or we can come to your preferred location. Spotlights aim is to have each and every client relax, feel beautiful and become a star in their own Spotlight!
